I keep coming back to using L3-8B-Stheno-v3.2 as a local model.

I've gotten to the point where I always use "ChatWaifu_v1.4.Q5_K_M.gguf" through KoboldCCP via Local Host, it is very much uncensored (to the point where you have to set limits in your first time use and remembers those limits) and has great storytelling and RPing ability.

I used claude anthropic until it got expensive. Now im trying different local models. One favorite is Gryphe_Gemma-4-31B-StyleTune. It got a really good prose and is super in muliple character banter.
