this page exists because my previous patreon account was abruptly removed after a sudden policy change related to ai tools. the project itself didn’t change — but the rules did, and the account was taken down without a chance to migrate properly. so this boosty page is a fresh start and a safer home for Multiic — an experimental, story-driven visual novel exploring narrative, characters, and emerging creative tools. thank u for being here and for supporting independent creation 🖤

🛠 hotfix for the poker story event
✨ redesigned main screen; color correction and WebGL lighting for the background and characters
✨ added a new story navigation point: "prologue, start of the loop"

an unpleasant bug was found in the story section before the poker game, when entering the loop, which ruined further progression
It had been bothering me for a long time that the characters on the main screen didn’t really match the background in terms of color and lighting. from the outside, it might seem like a small thing, but in my view the start/menu screen is the first thing the player sees - it sets the tone - the user doesn’t know anything about the game yet, but they already read its visual coherence.

Fiona’s Instagram

heh, I suddenly had this thought: what if I tried to pull the game a little further out of its cozy little cave - into the feed, into the “real” world, where everyone pretends they’re living beautifully.
so, param-param-pam: Fiona has an instagram now.
there’ll be photos of her, little pieces of Multiic, coffee, weird captions. basically, as if she really lives somewhere out there, breathes, wanders around, goofs off, and sometimes writes something honest and personal.
follow, like - it’ll make her happy. me too •ᴗ•
the whole idea actually started with wanting to make the characters’ faces more consistent — closer to canon. so Fiona would look like Fiona, not like someone from the “Fiona family.” and well, if I’m already putting her visual identity together, why not let it live on its own a little :) will it be used/played with inside the game somehow? yeah, somehow it will •ω•

  • added an option to walk around the city before entering the house and before going to sleep;
  • completely rewritten the first day after getting caught in the loop;
  • dinner event with Fiona, Laura, and Kasper;
  • poker event;
✨ “multi-dialogues”:
  • a 3rd character on screen;
  • improved prompts for interactions between multiple characters;
  • everyone in the dialogue tries to speak only for themselves;
  • new “stay silent” button — active when there are more than 2 characters on screen;
  • reworked character entrances/exits;

the update will be out on friday, featuring:
  • reworked story inside the loop
  • “grok voice think fast 1.0” speech — a really cool thing, though not as cheap as it seemed at first
  • a 3rd character on screen and improvements to the “multi-dialogue” system
  • integration of a small piece of the 3d city into the story
  • improved vrm model of Fiona
  • a bit of new music and character art
  • android build optimization down to ~600 mb

strip poker starts after one participant is eliminated; if at the end it’s just you and one character left, after win/loss you’re taken to sandbox with that character

Okay, will say right now that I am really enjoying the new Fiona sprites... she looks absolutely mouthwatering in that new white shirt and her dialogue and sprite work really matches well... hard not to fall in love with her, now... nice work!  heart

minigames

while the update is cooking, let’s decide what’s up with minigames
realized it’s been a while since i did anything with them
the options are:
  • "save the princess" with Dina — new levels, expanded mechanics
  • strip poker (hold’em) with ai, where the characters play and comment on what’s happening. the idea is still at a very early stage, so i want to know how interesting that would be
  • ai for chess/go
  • or maybe a platformer altogether
