Dev Blog #6
Hello! We have a lot of things to tell you in the new dev blog, so let's start without long introductions.
Job skills
Last week we told you about the armor classes extension, which influences characters balance a lot. Main team setup is a thing that matters in classic GE, so we think it's important to showcase all of the major balance differences before the release - it will help you to choose your own main team. Here you can see the list of job skills changes from modern patches to v. 2.0. All of it will be presented in its original state on GE Classique.
Characters without job skills:
- Najib Sharif
- Brunie
- Panfilo
- Soldier
- Alejandro
- Gracielo
- Lisa
- Gertrude
- Catherine (STR, DEX, INT)
Characters with crafting job skills (not useful in a combat):
- Andre
- Claude
- Idge
- Adelina
- Bernelli
- Cortasar
- M'Boma
- Karjalainen
- Lorch
All builders has "Construction Removal" job skill which destroys all of summoned construction. Same for Catherine and her "Release Summons" job skill.
Fighter, Trooper and Grandice (Provoke): Enemy DEF -20, Enemy ATK +10%, *No landing of flying enemies.*
Warlock (Elemental Penetration): Ignores 10 of all enemy RES, Cast time -5%
Wizard (Energy Shield): Absorbs 30% of incoming damage in cost of 10% SP
Musketeer and Auch Infantry (Concentration): Monster Blow damage +10%, Accuracy +30, Critical +15%
Romina and Rescue Knight (Resuscitation): Works the same as Scout's "Resuscitation", doesn't give invulnerable buff to resurrected target.
All provided info is valid for level 10 skills
Hope this information will be useful for you.
I wanna play the debuff team! Hmm, wait a minute...
Costume shops
We recently had a discussion with community about the costumes and appearance of the base characters, and we promised that we would share information about this soon. So it's time to talk about fashion in Granado Espada!
Many of you remember that in older versions of GE, base characters changed their appearance depending on the armor they were wearing. Unfortunately, this mechanic will not be implemented on our server - technical reasons will not allow us to combine a proper client update and this feature. But we would really like to give you the atmosphere of the classic Granado Espada, so we decided to add costume shops to the Master NPCs. All costumes presented in these stores will be available for a small amount of vis, and will also have a level requirement corresponding to the level of the equipment they represent. This means that your characters will be able to look appropriate for the equipment they are wearing, and this will not require interaction with the cash shop.
Cash shop costumes will also be available (some special costumes for base characters, such as a crocodile costume, and rnpc costumes), but this, like other cash shop content, is a separate issue for discussion - we will return to it later.
We hope that this feature will not spoil your gaming experience. It was a difficult decision for us and we are doing everything to make the game as classic as possible in all its aspects.
New level! It's time to upgrade my look
Instant boosters
While testing, I remembered how difficult it can be for characters to level up in afk mode. If your characters do not have well-enchanted equipment by level, or if the boss of the location is wandering somewhere nearby, you may find your characters dead after 10 minutes of battle. But there is one game mechanic that allows you to survive the hardships of combat - we found it very nostalgic and we would like to share it with you.
All monsters in Granado Espada periodically drop instant boosters. By picking them up, your characters will receive certain bonuses. Boosters come in a bit of variety - there are those that instantly restore HP or SP, as well as those that will raise your attack or defense for a short time.
We make a lot of interesting notes on small gameplay details - let us know if you want us to share such details more often.
ah, boosters again... Keep waiting for 76 lvl equip to drop
Leveling up
We also recently discussed the process of leveling up in classic GE. As promised, we have recorded a bunch of videos for you. This montage shows solo kills of some bosses, and fragments of Spotlight 3, Interchange 3, Jaquin Siege missions completion.
