In hands of rich (part 2)

Next college day had passed, leaving the guy with an odd feeling. This day was different. Not in terms of studying, but in terms of day flow. Lily kept her word and actually didn’t bother him for a whole day. In his mind, that exactly what he needed; be left alone, have a normal college life, have a chat with classmates about nothing, enjoy a simple dry meal in a canteen.. But something felt off. Even after last class of the day, Lily indifferently left her seat and went straight to exit, not bothering to talk or even look at Alex.
Of course, they will meet at her house again anyway, but what was that bugging him all day? With a bunch of mix feelings bothering his mind and heart, he packed all today’s college supplies and sauntered towards Lily’s mansion. “Will this day be better?” “Is she mad?” and all different hesitations were pecking him and following him through all the way.
Time flew quick, as gorgeous black gates appeared right in front of his eyes. Alex scratched his scalp, almost trying to tide up his mind. Just as he pressed cold steel button on the intercom - gates were immediately opened, as if someone was impatiently waiting for the guests. “It couldn’t be just her mother, right?” - he asked himself, puzzled by a quick greeting.
He slowly headed inside, taking his time to appreciate how big and neat the garden was. Bushes were carefully cut, big variety of flowers and freshly cut grass were giving rich and sweet aroma, while multicoloured butterflies and busy bees were creating welcoming and cosy atmosphere. For a second Alex completely lost any trace of thoughts and dived into peace. Breath became stable and slow, filling his lungs and whole body with pure nature.
Big marble doors were closed. "Should I wait for someone to open or I can just enter?" - he thought to himself, curiously trying to peek through little windows on the doors. They were quite shallow, yet too hard to see what's going on inside. He reached the doorknob and slightly pushed one of the doors. With quite a satisfying click, it separated from his colleague. It dragged very smoothly and gave instant satisfaction, as he remembered how squeaky and heavy their own door is.
