How my 2nd (paid) commission went
So this one was a commission for @rottas.art on tiktok, they asked for a rendered half-body of their character Sulo! So I will be talking about my experience when this was in the works!
The easier parts were the hair, clothing and the hat, of course. Mainly, I use around
3-5 colours in total to render out the hair, for this one I had to use only 3, which was pretty easy in my personal opinion to me. The clothing - the vest and undershirt (what I call them, no idea if they're called that in reality) were pretty easy to draw and render too, as it didn't require too much work for me. There was a bit of the issue when drawing the rough sketch to get the shadows correctly of where the folds were in, but otherwise it all went well. And the hat, that was the easiest part in my opinion!
The harder part for me was the nose, just like always. Once again, I am reminding - I do not draw noses, I *render* them in, so it took some time, but it turned out fine. The 2nd hardest part was the hands. Especially the fingers! Getting the angle right was quite of an issue, and shading them out was kind of a challange too, but I worked it out.
And basically that's that! This wasn't that difficult, but it did have some difficulties, just like anything in art-like things. Anyways, I appreciate the person commissioning me and I enjoy the fact they loved the final result!
- P.S.: PLEASE do not use the image that is attached, as the character in the drawing isn't my own and we would be thankful that you do not use it, or distribute it in any way that would be claiming, that the character/drawing is owned/done by you. Thank you!
-- 2nd P.S.: The image shown is one of the final finished versions, this one shown is with lineart on some parts, the one without lines is on the tiktok page. Ty!
