The lack of Patreon...
I've loved using (mostly) Ko-fi for all my art-related things. It's not really due to my art, or personal choices that led me to using a combo of Liberapay, Boosty, and Ko-fi, though.
I'm banned from Patreon.
Now, hold on, hold on! It's not because I broke the ToS in any way (that I know of, the support did not tell me anything). It's not because of the art I post, no.
I just got banned right when registering. No explanation provided.
Now, this wouldn't really be an issue. I messaged support, they refused to explain the ban, and demanded an ID be sent to them over e-mail. As we know, sending a sensitive document over e-mail is super secure and normal, so I told them to fuck off.
This sucks, because a lot of artists don't really have mirrors for their subs anywhere. I can't really support my favorite artists. I can't be supported, either. It's a weird situation to be stuck in, but not fully unexpected. I'm mostly miffed over the "we need your ID over e-mail" thing.
Tada. This is why I can't use Patreon. Fml, I guess.
