Why don't I paywall my art and blog?
There's always this sort of expectation & need from online
artists that you need to put some form of paywalls in place. "See my
sketches," or "see my process videos," or whatever else. That just kind
of never sat right with me, and I just have to painfully admit that I
was never a merchant, much to my dismay (since I literally can't even
price my own work. It feels blasphemous, almost!)

I have to come
to terms with the fact that, no, the customer-seller relationship was
never for me. I prefer collaboration, hearing others out. Making some
sort of peer connection, or maybe helping someone get into art... but
selling? That will just be met with hand wringing and a lot of staring
off into space from me.

My ko-fi, boosty, or whichever else site
is just a mere tip jar. I don't expect anyone to pay for my work. Would I
pay for other artists' work?

Yes!
And I do!
It's more
of a "me" problem. I'm just happy to be around, making stuff. Not sure
how others feel about this, but I just can't put a price tag on my work
and, by extension (in my eyes), myself and the relationships I could
make with others. It feels off, and while I do think it's awesome others
can manage it, I don't think I can. :P Such is life.
