[Project_Haydee] Full-Time development.

Build_3 - Status 21.10.2025

The final step is implementing the JRPG combat system. I have almost completed its integration into the game. It took some time to understand Unity animations and fix bugs related to the inventory system.
Over the next few days, we will release the next patch to test the combat mechanics.
- Combat System
The combat system is fully analogous to what was in the Ren’Py version. However, some gameplay feature (mines) will be omitted due to our desire to quickly release a stable patch and then proceed to more complex mechanics, which I will discuss later.
What will be included in the Build_3 release?
The Build_3 release will feature even more rooms with greater variety of furniture objects and zones, an improved game settings screen, and polished gameplay elements that have been implemented so far. The plan is to release Build_3 on the stable branch in early November.
What are the further development plans for Project_Haydee?
I am already ready to announce upcoming Build_3.X updates. There are quite a few quality-of-life improvements that need to be implemented:
  1. Complex Map: In Build_2, I already received requests to implement a map, which I tried to do, but it was extremely inconvenient to do so within the limitations of the previous RenPy engine. Thanks to the capabilities of Unity 6, I am already planning to develop a terrain map that will have full 3D visuals with the ability to track your location. (Similar to what was in Doom 2016, etc.)
  2. Inventory Sorting: One of the top priorities is to introduce the ability to sort items. I agree that having a complete list of ALL items is quite inconvenient and sometimes requires time to find the right item. I have already implemented a categorization system, and there is a high probability that this feature will be present in Build_3.1.
  3. Notification System: At the moment, there is no energy even for such a simple mechanic, but after a week’s break from working on Project_Haydee, it will be implemented immediately. This mechanic is necessary for the player to understand what item they are receiving, mission progress, and achievement progress.
  4. Achievement System: Who loves challenges? I think everyone does! I have plans for both regular achievements and those that will require some unique conditions to obtain.
