Daily Update 6/12

So today I got a fair bit done, though I was pretty sluggish and tired all day. I am assuming it was from not getting enough sleep last night.

I rearranged the todo list, I figured it would be easier for people who really didn't know what they were looking at to get a better grasp by just looking at whats done vs. not done.

The game plan is to date what got done and when, Then I will move the done stuff down to the done section the next time you see the list. That way you only need to worry about

whats above the "done" line.

Also for a bit of context. The new game introduction part may only take up one line on this todo list. But it is by far the biggest chunk of it.

I talk with the writer nearly every day, today he gave me a bulletpoint list of the changes we are going to be making to the story.

We want to make sure people know right from the get go, even though this is set in the same world as MT. It is not the same story as the novels or anime.

So the new game introduction is going to have some flashbacks, showing some things that played out differently in our story.

And how that will change the course of events.

Hagren (The writer) Does not want to bombard everyone with too much dialogue right in the beginning.

I think it should be fine, for the people that want world building and immersion I say give it to them.

To the people that don't... well that's why I will be adding a skip intro button right?

So just to put it into scale of the things that are being changed to make it a different story.

Here is Hagrens bulletpoint list for the introduction.

1. Begin the journey with a flashback showing when Eris left.

2. A scene showing Rudeus's Erectile Disfunction

3. A showing the fight with Sarah this time ends in reconciliation, though they still don't start a relationship they separate on good terms.

4. First meeting with Elinalise. During their time together, he kisses her. She asks him not to get too involved with her so as not to offend Roxy and not to be close to Paul.

5. While traveling, she tries to help Rudeus with his ED. To no avail.

6. Coming to the Academy and meeting Fitz.

7. Meeting Linia and Pursena, where he immediately teaches them a lesson and is made the ringleader. Begins touching them often, they don't mind.

8. Rudeus helps Cliff with Elinalise's confession, but she turns him down, Cliff tries to help her with the curse anyway, and she tries to help Rudy with ED again. Where she succeeds this time.

9. Meeting Nanahoshi. Rudeus also helps her, but she starts to feel sympathy for Rudeus in this version.

10. Rudeus and Fitz spend more and more time together, Rudeus falls in love.

11. Sylphie reveals herself and she starts dating Rudeus.

12. Rudeus and Sylphie plan a wedding. Ariel supports them and starts hitting on Rudeus a bit for a little fling.

13. The wedding takes place. Rudeus doesn't make the promise to Sylphy about not taking on more wives, but she still says she doesn't mind if he does.

14. A scene where Rudeus reaches out his hand to Sylphy, after that camera sweeps around and he reaches out his hand to the other girls that will be in the game on a white background.

15. Rudeus or the Player is sprinkled in the Hitogami dimension where the prologue begins, and everything above he saw in the form of memories.

So Hagren is writing the dialogue for all of that. While he is doing that I am getting done everything I can on my end. Without the full script though I am not 100% sure on

which renders/animations I should be getting. Though most of the items in that list I will be able to make without a script. Some of it I will need, mainly the stuff that is

changed from the main timeline of events. Also I think #14 is going to be like an opening cinematic thing.

Another big thing Hagren is working on is the world building, the conversations with the random NPCs, and things like where each of the girls shown in the main menu currently are.

So that we can plan out better who we will see and when. For example we have already decided that Ghislaine saved Eris's Mother, and that they are both currently save in Asura kingdom.

So when we travel to Asura we will be introducing them. Also Elinalise is currently out on a mission "Somewhere"... meaning we haven't decided how or when to introduce her to the story after

the introduction scene. I am thinking something along the lines of she is out adventuring and searching dungeons trying to find the members of her old team. Meaning we can introduce her

again whenever the plot needs her. Like I already know I plan to travel to Millis to meet Rudeus's aunt, and that is where I plan on getting Zenith "cured"

In case anyone did not know, I have no intention of abandoning this game, I am a stickler for finishing every story I start, which is why I worked on this game for 3-4 months before I

ever released the alpha 1 version. I wanted you all to be able to get a feel for what the game was going to be, I also wanted to flesh out at least one area a bit.

I have plans written down already for our story to take us to Asura Kingdom, Millis, The Demon Continent, and the Begaritt Continent.

Testing - Not Done - Let's be real, no matter how much I test it, it will not be enough, one of you will find a bug, which will be fixed the update after. But I will be spending a full day just on bug testing.

Each update the 20$ Tier Patrons get to vote on an exclusive to them scene, There are currently 2 people at this tier 1 on Patreon and one on Subscribestar, Though the person on subscribestar did not message me back when I asked what they wanted.

So when the Patron asked for the scene I made what they asked for. Generally the way this tier will work is each patron at this tier will tell me what they want to see, I will then make a poll that everyone at the 20$ tier will vote on, most votes wins.
