How does the past drain the energy of the future?
In our last letter, we asked you to pause your thoughts for 30 seconds. We received many responses from you, describing your efforts, practices, and expressions of gratitude. Your letters bring joy to our souls.
But today we'll delve deeper into the topic of conserving and accumulating energy. We'll discover one of the reasons why you're losing strength, and your energy body is weakening every day. This reason is your personal history.
Personal history isn't just the facts of your biography. It's actually the self-image we build over the years, day after day, and then begin to aggressively guard it. We've come to believe in the image, but we've lost sight of the essence—our Spirit.
Every time you share your successes, failures, or even everyday events with someone, you strengthen your personal history. Those around you know what to expect, and with their attention, they force you to remain the same. You're forced to be the image you once created. Now you expend enormous energy maintaining this image by any means necessary.
The predator benefits from your predictability. While you explain your actions and recall past experiences, you lose your connection with the Spirit. After all, this connection requires energy, which is spent maintaining your personal history.
At the TS Magic Club, we practice erasing personal history. But be careful! This in no way means forgetting your name or deceiving others. It means becoming unpredictable and easy-going for the world, for those around you, and, most of all, for yourself.
Concerning this, Don Juan once said:
“We only have two alternatives: we either take everything for sure and real, or we don't. If we follow the first, we end up bored to death with ourselves and the world.” If we follow the second and erase personal history, we create a fog around us, a very exciting and mysterious state in which no one knows where the rabbit will pop out, not even ourselves.”
When no one knows our next step, we become invisible to the predator. True freedom is born in this invisibility, which leads us to Spirit.
In the next message, we'll show you exactly where your energy goes when you try to be good or right in the eyes of others. We'll explore the biggest drain on power that you most likely commit daily.
And today, try one small practice. When someone asks you to explain your actions or opinions, don't do so. Simply remain silent or say that you've decided so now. Feel the resistance and desire to justify yourself boiling within. This voice isn't yours. It's the predator's. Don't resist. Become an observer.
Write in a reply to this message in the comments section whether you feel the pressure of your personal history on yourself. How do you interact with your personal history, and what happened? Do you have a practice?
