Our real nature
Socrates, how can I stop my thoughts, my mind, other than by developing a sense of humor?
"First, you need to understand where your thoughts come from, how they come to the fore. For example, right now you have a cold—it's a physiological symptom, showing you that your body needs a rebalancing, it needs to reconnect with sunlight, fresh air, simple food; in short, to harmonize with the world around you."
"What does this have to do with my mind?"
"Direct. Disorganized thoughts that disturb and distract you are also symptoms of "disharmony" with the world around you. When the mind resists life, thoughts arise. When something happens that contradicts a belief, the mind becomes turbulent. A thought is an unconscious reaction to life.
Dan Millman
A person is not only a physical body. A human being is a field of consciousness that sustains life within the body. Therefore, to unlock our inner potential, we must first uncover our duality—the physical and the energy/field. In other words, like a bird that cannot spread its two wings and fly, but only moves one, we focus only on the physical side of our nature and exhibit unconsciousness in our energetic perception of the world. Therefore, we feel inner constraint and lack of freedom.
Pain in the physical body indicates an imbalance in the body's functioning. This is a cue we hear to understand and figure out whether we are eating properly, getting enough rest, and treating our body properly.
Internal dialogue and a chaotic flow of thoughts are evidence that our energy body is out of balance with the laws of nature. Here, we must reflect on whether we are spending our energy and strength wisely, how accurately we understand our emotions, and what ideas motivate us.
But we believe that our energetic health is a result of random circumstances, melancholy is a result of bad weather, and depression is something that comes with age.
Now, more than ever, we all need to become literate and educated in the areas of both physical and energetic wellness. And this can only be achieved through improving our character and developing high moral standards.
