How to perform:
— Expanding vision. Fix your gaze on any point in front of you. Without moving your eyes, begin to be aware of all the space to the sides of you (peripheral vision). Try to see both the right and left sides simultaneously.
— Activating Hearing. Simultaneously, focus your attention on all the sounds around you. Don't single out any one noise; simply listen to the entire background sound at once.
— Fixation. The moment your attention is divided between sight and hearing, silence arises in your head. Thoughts disappear because all your energy is focused on your attention. There are no resources left to maintain internal dialogue.
This is the cessation of internal dialogue. A state of pure silence and sobriety. Do this practice and accumulate inner silence, second by second, until you gradually reach a state of deep, long inner silence.
