Restore connection with the Spirit - don Juan taught this

In his book "The Power of Silence", Carlos Castaneda writes the following:
An apprentice is someone who is striving to clear and revive his connecting link with the spirit...
Reviving an apprentice's link is a nagual's most challenging and intriguing work.  
It becomes clear that the magicians in Nagualism are looking for exactly what the representatives of the Eastern Mystical Schools are looking for - the revelation of their spiritual potential and reunification with their Spirit.
Nagualism is not the crazy and thoughtless practice of leaving the body and hallucinating as a result of taking psychedelic drugs. This is pursued by those who have not felt and realized the deep meaning and extreme necessity for a happy life of connection with the Spirit.
Warriors following the Path of the Heart seek freedom. Freedom is about breaking away from the tyrannical little self that thinks in terms of manipulation and exploitation. The Spirit perceives the Unity of things, endowing a person and one's life with Force.
A warrior seeks Force. The Warrior goes to One's Spirit. Therefore the warrior is free. Living a free life is the Path that has a Heart.
