The topic of relationships reveals within a person the interaction of their Masculine and Feminine Principles. According to Castaneda, every human being carries within themselves this interconnectedness, embodying the duality of the Universe. It is very important to awaken these Principles in order to organize the Tonal and gently submit it to the Nagual.

The subtlety lies in the fact that in everyday life we often remain “captive” to a weak and disorganized Tonal, which limits our perception and prevents us from opening to the Nagual. The manifestation of the True Masculine Principle which is developing courage and bravery is distorted by the weak Tonal into stereotypical behavior, such as reckless risk-taking just to demonstrate “bravery.” In women, the manifestation of the True Feminine Principle which is refinement, sensitivity, and intuition is often twisted by the weak Tonal into the role of being overly fragile, weak, and incapable of independent decisions.

The first essential step is to learn to distinguish false manifestations from the qualities of the True Principles. Then it is necessary to stop identifying with clichés and stereotypes in order to reclaim one’s Personal Power.

Some people interested in Castaneda’s Knowledge believe that his books contain no information about interaction with a partner. This is not true :) Magical Knowledge must be studied more attentively and deeply. For example, Nagual don Juan spoke about the woman-Nagual named Olinda:

"The Nagual woman and don Juan found completeness and silence in each other's company. Don Juan said that the feeling they had for each other had nothing to do with affection or need; it was rather a shared physical sense that an ominous barrier had been broken within them, and they were one and the same being."

For Magical Knowledge to begin transforming life, it must be adapted and applied. Awakening the Masculine and Feminine Principles which are the Nagual Man and Nagual Woman in every person and developing noble qualities that belong which are warriors of the Nagual party of warriors allow a person to find harmony and connection with the Spirit, thus slipping past the Eagle.
