Can you explain the Russian notion of "cultured" and "uncultured". I often hear Andrei Martyanov use "uncultured" in a certain sense that implies it confers some set of qualities even a well acculturated Russiain living in the US for a long time does not seem to quite get that we have no idea what he really means. Do Russians believe that pursuing "cultured" activities tends to confer some set of desirable traits? What are those traits? As someone from Pennsyltucky I suspect you share my view that most Americans would not even grasp the subtle meaning of this when coming from a Russian.

Hi Mark. Signed up just for you. Love your straightforwardness and transparent slap that you provide regarding our world. I guess we just weren't aware that humans were not just a cancer in history books, but we continue to be so in modern times. I have 2 questions... 1) How is life going to look like in the 2030 era for the average joe, with AI, Dasein, Implants. I know we are heading to a total authoritarian world, but how does this look like with the technology that is at the hands of the powerful ? 2) Is Who are "they". I have been digging, and it seems like they are the Merchant aristrocrat class that i can chase back to republic of Genoa, and their dealings with the mongols to destroy Baghdad and their dealings with europe etc etc..but how it connects to Ancient Germanic tribes if it even does, would be really interesting to understand.
