💥 “Spark” comics — what our story is about

The year is 2156. The State of Saadi is developing a new generation of weapons — the Spark, designed to replace the nuclear arsenal. But a single mistake triggers catastrophe: a black mist — the Mara — that wipes out all life.
Survival is only possible in places where rare mineral deposits remain underground. Two surviving cities wage a brutal war for this resource. In one, scientists turn the fog into a cult and tool of power. In the other, people dream of restoring the lost world.
Yara, the mayor’s daughter, is the only one immune to the fog. To save Koyaani and prevent another war, she infiltrates the scientists’ city and uncovers the truth behind the disaster. But the deeper she ventures into the perilous world beyond the dome, the harder it becomes to tell enemies from allies — and the closer she comes to a choice that will determine the fate of all.
“Spark” is a story about mercy and hatred, about the cost of trust, and about how even in a post-apocalyptic world, one can still remain human.
The project began as an idea for an animated series, but today we are releasing it as a comic — to build an audience, to reveal this world in all its detail, and to bring closer the day when Spark will appear on screen.

✨ How “Spark” Was Born

Hi everyone! I’m Andra — a screenwriter, director, and producer.
My stories have always been about searching for oneself, going through change, and reminding us that we are never truly alone — even in the darkest circumstances.
The world of Spark appeared almost three years ago. I wanted to tell a story about coming of age, choices, responsibility, gray morality, and values. Yara, the main heroine, grew up under a dome that protected her from the deadly fog, but she never felt truly safe inside. Her journey is a fight for her loved ones and for herself, where she learns that real strength is not in hatred but in compassion.

🌄 Koyaani — the City Under the Dome

In western Yakutia there is a place called Mirny, a city built around an enormous open-pit mine. Once it was used for diamond extraction, but today it lies abandoned. Its dramatic landscape — with houses clinging to the very edge of the pit — inspired the setting for Koyaani, the mining city where our heroine’s story begins.
Koyaani is an industrial hub carved into the rim of a colossal quarry. Here people mine koyaanite, a rare mineral able to resist the deadly mist known as Mara. Thanks to koyaanite, the city stands protected beneath an energy dome, making it one of only two settlements in the state of Saadi to survive the apocalypse.

Today we created a cover for our future comic book

And decided that it's a good reason to start a boosty account.
We've been working on this story for almost 3 years. So here's another step to make our story come true and find its way to the first readers.
Spark is an animated series/comic about the post-apocalypse
and inner transformation. In a world devoured by a black mist called Mara,
girl Yara is the only one who can resist it. She must reach a secret lab and complete a long-abandoned experiment to save the people she loves. But along the way, she encounters those who seek to harness the mist to cling
to power.
This is a story of vengeance that transforms into forgiveness, of truths more painful than lies, and of a power that could change the world — if Yara is willing to sacrifice everything.
