Hi!
Today I will try to write only on the essence, without lyrical digressions.
I continue active development of Size Difference World game. For obvious reasons, my activity is limited by my free time, which is very short. I apologize for reiterating about my life situation. It's just that even though I've talked about it a lot, people keep asking questions. If anyone is interested in knowing more about my life, please take some time to read all the previous posts.
I am currently porting the mechanics of Size Difference World to the Construct engine. This engine will help add many more game mechanics and features than the RPG Maker engine.
Unfortunately, working on a game completely alone, I'm not able to create a great story, vividly detailed characters, and the gameplay of a JRPG. It's too difficult for a solo developer who works three jobs and has only a few free hours a week. In my case, the emphasis should be on action, moving the story to the background. And for this Construct engine is much better suited than RPG Maker.
I have already created the possibility of controlling the main character with the keyboard. Today I made it possible to fire different types of fireballs. Fireballs are capable of taking health from enemy girls (so far there is only one type of enemy; I will make the rest of the enemies in its likeness). When the enemy's health scale goes to zero, the enemy disappears.
The enemy's health bar appears above its head when it takes damage. The display of the health bar is still to be worked on, because, at the moment, there are sometimes bugs related to changing the width of the bar.
I've made a short video that shows what I've gotten.
The rules of this site do not allow this kind of video to be shown in a public post, so I created a separate post for the video. In that post, I also published the size-difference sketches of the image created this week. The original image has already been uploaded to a private gallery for subscribers. Please read all previous posts if you are wondering why there are fewer images. Thank you for your understanding.
Now I need to teach the enemy girls to move towards the protagonist by avoiding obstacles. That's what I'll be doing in the next week in my spare time.
I would like to point out that, currently, I do not update the working build of the game, as it is unplayable. In the closed gallery is a working build on the RPG Maker engine, which will be heavily reworked when transferred to the Construct engine. Also, please note that the working build in the private gallery is not part of the final version of the game, but only a prototype. There is not a single element in this build that has the final finalized look. Therefore, please refrain from unwarranted critics.
Once again I would like to ask all those interested to find some free time and read all the previous posts. There are answers to many questions in them.
