Hi!
Just a reminder (in case anyone forgot, or is reading me for the first time), I'm taking a temporary break from game development and content creation. However, I can't stop doing it completely, so I'm back again today with a short post.
Besides thinking all the time about what I can add to the game and how to implement this or that game mechanic, I also try to do something about the game engine when I get rare minutes of free time. Now, unfortunately, I have to work a lot at my main jobs, so I have very little free time. I hope that this situation will change for the better in the near future.
But let's not talk about sad things.
Today I taught the main character of the game to move under keyboard control. For now, the control is done with the arrow keys, but in the future I will definitely implement the ability to customize the control, as it is done in my platformer game Final Exam.
By the way, I would like to take this opportunity to say a few words about Final Exam. As I said in previous posts, this game is now free and publicly available.
The public version of the game is available on my itch.io. As I said before, the rules of this site don't allow posting a direct link to the game. However, I think those who wish to do so will have no trouble finding the content they are looking for. The full version of the game is available for paid subscribers.
I, as in previous posts, ask everyone to leave a review of the game. I see hundreds of downloads of the game, and even more online gameplay. But I've only gotten feedback from a few people. That's not enough to compile any statistics.
Yes, I realize that this game is far from being called a good game. Plus, the game was created under very difficult circumstances and a lot of mechanics were removed from it. This has been written about in previous posts. So I don't expect positive reviews at all. I'm just asking for your objective thoughts.
However, before you write anything, I really ask to spend some time and read all the previous posts about the game. It won't take too much time, but it might answer some questions.
