Переход ударения на предлог / Stress Shift to Prepositions

Hello, dear subscribers and visitors of my blog. You may have noticed that sometimes the emphasis in Russian shifts from a noun to a preposition:
-- Марина взяла ребёнка нА руки. -- Marina took the child in her arms.
-- Антон живёт зА городом. -- Anton lives in the country (out of the city).
-- Я люблю гулять пО лесу. -- I love walking in the forest.
In this article (written IN RUSSIAN), you can learn more about this phenomenon and see lists of the most common nouns that can “give” their stress to a preposition.
