Version 0.1.1 is Now Public!
Hi everyone!
Version 0.1.1 of The Dungeon Of Desires is now available to everyone 🎉
Supporters received the update earlier, and now the public version is ready too.
This update is mainly focused on expanding the existing content, making dungeon runs more varied, and improving the overall feel of the game before development moves forward toward the second floor.
What’s New in Version 0.1.1
More Than 30 Dungeon Events
Dungeon runs now include random events.
Some will test you, some may reward you, and others will reveal more about the world and story of the game.
The current version includes more than 30 different dungeon events, including several events directly connected to the story.
This is only the beginning of the system. In future updates, I plan to connect events to character progression, so your stats and upgrades can affect the outcome of certain choices.
New Merchant Storyline
The Merchant now has her own storyline.
Several new quests reveal more about her true goal and give her a larger role in the story.
Completing this questline can also unlock a new fully animated scene with her.
New Animations
I added small animations to several locations, as well as new UI animations.
Menus, windows, and transitions should now feel smoother, while the locations themselves feel a little more alive.
New Dialogue Notifications
Characters can now display a visual notification when they have new dialogue available.
This should make it easier to notice new conversations and avoid missing something important.
Day and Energy Counter
A new day and energy counter has been added to the City.
For now, it is mostly visual, but it serves as the foundation for a future calendar system connected to quests, events, and character interactions.
Combat Changes
Battles have been made faster and slightly easier than in the previous version.
I’m still actively working on this part of the game, and the combat system will continue to change and improve with future updates.
My goal is to keep combat interactive without making it slow down the rest of the game.
How to Start the Merchant Storyline
To begin the new Merchant questline, you need to find the Merchant’s Notes during one of the dungeon events.
After reading them, a new quest will appear in your journal.
The ending of this storyline is also affected by your relationship with the Merchant, so I recommend completing her side quest “A Profitable Deal” first.
