Version 0.1.1 is Now Public!

Hi everyone!
Version 0.1.1 of The Dungeon Of Desires is now available to everyone 🎉
Supporters received the update earlier, and now the public version is ready too.
This update is mainly focused on expanding the existing content, making dungeon runs more varied, and improving the overall feel of the game before development moves forward toward the second floor.

What’s New in Version 0.1.1

More Than 30 Dungeon Events

Dungeon runs now include random events.
Some will test you, some may reward you, and others will reveal more about the world and story of the game.

Version 0.1.0 Release

Hi everyone!

I’m happy to announce that version 0.1.0 is now publicly available
This is one of the biggest updates for the project so far. A large part of the game has been reworked: dungeon progression, the item system, quests, new characters, and new locations.

What’s new in 0.1.0

  • Several new languages added. The translation is machine-made for now, so please don’t judge it too harshly. It will be improved over time.
  • 3 new characters added
  • Basic relationship system added. Your actions and choices can now affect your relationship with story characters.
  • Dungeon gameplay fully reworked. The floor now consists of 3 stages and ends with a full boss encounter.
  • Full Floor 1 boss added. The boss has her own model, animations, and a special mechanic that appears during the fight.
  • New quests added
  • A spicy scene with the Nymph added
  • 30+ new items added. This should make each descent more varied and closer to the original roguelite idea.
  • New locations added: City and TavernThese are the first steps toward a full hub area between dungeon runs.

Along with this release, I’m also opening the project’s Discord server.
There you’ll be able to:

What do we have here? Yep - fresh news about the major 0.1.0 update.
Development is moving fast: stages are already in, new characters are being added, and right now I’m pushing several big systems forward in parallel.

Item rework

Previously, equipment was “permanent”, but that didn’t really fit the roguelite feeling.
In 0.1.0, equipment will only last for a single run. That means more freedom, more experimentation, and more “builds” for every descent.
Right now there are only 2 items, but in the new update there will be 30+ - so every run can feel different: sometimes you’ll play around stamina, sometimes tempo, sometimes economy and risk.

New character: The Goblin

And now - the fun part. Meet the Goblin. His real name is still unknown (and honestly, he doesn’t look like someone who enjoys introductions).
You can meet him during the final stage of the floor. He sits behind his counter with the confidence of someone in a private office - not surrounded by ruins deep underground.
