Dev Update! 6/30/26
Hey, friends! Hope you’re all doing well this week.
Here’s the state of things at present: I’ve got all the images for Ch15 done save for the chapter’s ending, which I expanded a bit past my initial plans. It’s not a huge expansion, but it adds a couple small scenes that I’ll need to render. The initial main ending just felt a little abrupt and disconnected from the main plot, so I kicked some ideas around and settled on something I liked.
Beyond that, I also need to do some post-processing for Ch15, adding text/chat windows/fake website UI to some images. $5+ supporters already know why, but everyone else will find out when the update’s live.
I’m going to start building a new version of the game tomorrow, getting all the images, code, etc. placed before I move onto rendering those final scenes. But once everything’s done the release will be the complete Ch14 and Ch15. Then it’s onto Ch16!
Exceeeeept I think that between Ch15 and Ch16 I’m finally going to do something I’ve been putting off, and actually rebuild my rendering PC/optimize my workflow. Over the past few years my computer’s become a bloated mess of files, with stuff spread across, duplicated, and backed up in numerous places. And all the while I’ve limped along with insufficient storage and VRAM. Fortunately I bought some new hardware between the last crypto crash and the AI boom, so I’ve got all the parts I need. Now I just need some time to mess with all this stuff.
