I don't think there's just one reason you're not more popular on the net; for example, at this moment in history I'm sure there are people who won't read your stuff because you're Russian. (I'm not trying to start an argument about whether they're right or wrong! I read you!) But yes, I was interested to see what you look like. I think it'd be a better experiment, though, if you made a video about Gifts, and/or about your other writing, rather than a video about making a video. :) Also, it needs to be vertically framed, because you need to post it on TikTok.
I have to say, also, I really enjoyed Cold Obsidian, but I hated Hot Obsidian because it was too depressing and too violent for my taste, and I've never caught up with your prose writing since then. I should get over it! But I'm trying to be as honest as I can be, in the hope that that'll be helpful.

Mildegard, Okay, as soon as I get out from under the huge pile of library books I have right now I'll catch up on your books!
I'm trying to remember how I found you. Topwebcomics, I think. I was instantly hooked by the beautiful (b&w, back then) artwork, and then the interaction between the twins.
I don't know if anyone really understands why some people become super popular on the net. I sure don't, except in the cases that involve some corporation spending a lot of money. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Brian HARVEY, thanks for giving my books another chance! It's also always nice to hear someone liked by bw style. I usually got pestered about it and asked to add colour (yelding to those demands didn't help the comic at all, though). Becoming popular is similar to getting a good job, I think: it's about knowing the right people that can put in a good word for you somewhere where it matters. I don't know the right people and have no idea how to fix that, so I have no access to good jobs or popular media channels. This pit is too deep to get out of without outside help.
