July 2025 Update: Part Two
Hi NWN fans! The launch of Doom of Icewind Dale was a huge success. Many thanks to everyone who purchased, played, and discussed the latest Neverwinter Nights DLC on the Steam forums, Reddit, Discord, and everywhere else!
Yes, I got the difficulty balance wrong on release; and yes, it could've done with another proofread. The number of typos I found in the 1.0 release was mortifying. But both issues are now fixed, and aside from my eagle-eyed Russian translators spotting an inconsistency in one of the quest conditions, I believe it's rather polished. Now I'm just waiting on the next patch for the mobile version of the game so that Doom of icewind Dale can launch on Android and iOS devices.
Speaking of Russian translators, the excellent Evgeny Shmelev aka Ratíbor92 and his team have completed the first volume of their graphic novel Judgment Night, which journals the story of the Hero of Neverwinter. Evgeny had the novel translated into English, which I then edited. It's a beautifully illustrated and engaging story, and I'm delighted to say that Evgeny and his team have given me permission to share Judgment Night Volume 1! You can download it from the link below. My thanks to everyone involved!
I'm currently hard at work on Secrets of Skullport, the next chapter in The Blades of Netheril campaign, as well as Pathfinder: The Dragon's Demand with
Ossian Studios. If you would like updates on Secrets of Skullport as they become available, as well as Discord access and (eventually) hands-on access to the beta, please consider subscribing. :)
One final thing. Some of you may know that, many years ago, I wrote The Grim Company trilogy of fantasy novels, which has since sold 200k+ copies in eight languages. After years of self-doubt and false starts, yesterday saw the release of a new book, Hostile.
Unlike my previous books, this one is a horror, and it is self-published. I'm still writing traditional fantasy novels and hope to sell one to a publisher later this year. Hostile is a smaller, more personal project. If you've a passing interest in gory stories about animals gone insane, psychological thrillers, and outrageous plot twists, please take a look. It means a lot to me, and every sale I make will help the book's momentum and establish a platform for future horror novels. You can grab the book from the links below:
