So, new version of Eyes Mod. Yes, yes, I know, we have two of them already. This one brings:
- Fixed & universal (for LE and SE-AE versions of the game - same meshes) eye meshes. They can be converted from LE to SE with SSE Nif Optimizer or Cathedral Assets Optimizer and backwards with no issues. Which means that as long as your character's other headparts are 'behaving' OK with conversion you can convert the RaceMenu .nif sculpt file or an NPC head endlessly.
- Unified custom eyelashes (one set of textures for both male and female character models).
- The textures have also been adjusted to be slightly less bright and to closer resemble their vanilla counterparts. I.e. hazel eyes are more like what the developers intended, and there are colored sclera options for elves.
- Much less bloated .esp file (it's a replacer with fixes, with no new eyes). Fixes include all elves having their own Blind eye variety so if you install a colored sclera, your elf character should be using the appropriate eye there.
I also added a 'Simple Replacer' version which works as any other eye mod in nature, or like Eyes Mod from 2017. It has vanilla choppy eyelashes (see screenshot), but it is compatible with 99% of eye textures. Which means you can use the fixed eye meshes with any textures you want.
The Full version has altered UV on the meshes\models, which means they're not compatible with other eye textures. However, I didn't replace the eye textures - they're separate records for the sake of compatibility with existing NPCs. Those already-existing NPCs will continue to use whichever eyes you use, and the mod will only fully affect the player character or a character created with Eyes Mod 3 active in the modlist.
Note that it *does* replace the eye meshes, I did it so I don't have to change the meshes records like in Eyes Mod 2.
Because the meshes are identical to vanilla, any version of the mod is safe to uninstall mid-game (unless you generated facegen with the Full Eyes Mod 3, but then you should know what you're doing!)
