I am writing a novel.

Doors...

#IELTS Writing Task 1: A Japanese house
This task might not seem particularly hard, but one lexical item I wasn't sure of was the type of doors we typically use now - as opposed to sliding doors.
Our doors are called hinged doors. And then down the rabbit hole I went... Who knows what lexical items will come in handy in IELTS map descriptions?
Some other types of doors:
- revolving doors
- folding doors
- pocket doors (not to be confused with sliding doors)
- batwing doors (contributed by a student)
- swinging doors / swing doors
