After finishing the conversation, Rita Roy began eating. Then the woman asked again, "So, are you going to the city for a job?" Tanya replied, "Yes, Mother, I'm going to Delhi to look for a job. I'll be staying in a PG." The woman continued to question her. The other passengers in the compartment could hear her loud voice. The woman, with her heavy build, a smile on her face, and a loud laugh at everything, seemed a little strange to her. She didn't feel like talking much, but she couldn't refuse. When she said, "I don't have a job, I'm just looking for one," the woman laughed and said, "Oh, then come work for me! I have a big company!"
Rita was now very angry. She said to the woman, "I'm feeling sleepy, Mother. You go to sleep and let me sleep too." This made the woman feel very bad. She simply didn't want to let Rita feel alone, so she kept talking to her. But seeing Rita's displeasure, she too quietly went to sleep. It was night, but Rita couldn't sleep. She took a book from her bag and began to read. While reading, she fell asleep.
Delhi was her last stop. Just before 6 o'clock, Rita's mother called and woke her. After waking up, she took her bag from under the seat to brush her teeth. But she couldn't find it. She panicked. She searched everywhere but couldn't find it. Then the woman woke up. She asked Rita, "What happened, dear? Why are you so worried?" Rita cried and said, "My mother, my bag has been stolen. I can't find it. It contained all my belongings, including my documents. What will I do now?"
The woman, too, was worried after seeing Rita. She couldn't even walk properly, but she asked people on the train about Rita's bag. She couldn't find it anywhere. Surprisingly, no one else's belongings were stolen on the train, but only Rita's were missing.
Just then, Rita picked up her book. She remembered that she had kept the money her mother had given her in this book. Her mother had given her a total of 5,000 rupees. She put the money in a book without counting it. Seeing the money, Rita felt a little reassured, thinking she could at least move into a PG. She had already paid the rent, so she didn't have to worry about accommodation.
