AI can use ricochets now. In the original game, the AI cannot use ricochets. There were concerns that the use of ricochets for the AI was disabled due to bugs, but testing didn't reveal any obvious issues. Apparently it's just a mistake (“copy-paste” error). Something looks like they are sometimes square, but I don't remember how it was in the original.
