The room transitions are done. Let me tell you, that was harder than I thought.

Seems like everyone prefers different ways of doing it and all the tutorials I watched gave me different answers.

Maybe I implemented it wrong, but it'll do for now.

What has been achieved:

-Door sprite created

-Trigger is set

-Upon approaching a door, player is prompted to press a key

-Upon pressing a key, the player changes rooms

TO DO for the future

-Add walking into door animation (?)

-Add door opening animation

-Animate the prompt button to be better. Perhaps bouncing slightly

-Darken the screen to show the transition better, instead of an instant teleport

With this step complete, time to go to step 3.

Here, we will start adding winning conditions.

1. Create 3-4 new rooms

2. Connect them all via the transitions

3. Create simple objects inside

4. Set on room to be a winning room

5. Upon entering the room, the player should get You win message

This is a precursor to a gaming loop I talked in my previous post.

Of course you need to trap the ghost and do other objectives. But for now, just finding the correct room and pressing the button should activate the - you win message.
