October 2025 Devlog
Hello! I've already begun development on the new game internally called 'RiSM'. Previously, I've been showcasing the characters (I'll share another sneak peek at the end), but this time I want to focus the dev diary on the main house, where much of the story will take place. Don't worry though—I've acquired and modeled several environments (the protagonists also have their own house). So, here we go:
This is the main entrance, which connects all the story areas. On the left, there's a door that leads to the garage—let's take a look.
This time I expanded the garage compared to DLH, since the previous one only had space for one car, and now it fits two comfortably. I'll be using the three vehicles shown there in the story, along with others. The door on the left leads to a laundry room, which I won't show since the most notable thing in there is a washing machine. The door on the right connects to the house—let's head back there.
In these two images, we get a quick look at the living room, which is also more spacious than the previous one. For now, I haven't overloaded the space with decorations to save as many resources as possible. Behind the first image, there's another area—let's check it out.
This area is the kitchen. Due to the number of characters living here, I decided to place two small tables instead of one large one. In case you're curious, all the kitchen furniture is functional (doors open and close), and we'll see how I make use of that. To the right of the kitchen is the exterior, but before heading there, let's go to the white door that was visible at the back of the main entrance.
Here we have Margarita's room, which was the only one not previously shown. As you can see, the image is rendered from inside a closet, which will prove quite useful.
Now let's move on to the pending area: the 'backyard'. As you can see, I included different time-of-day lighting setups. Also, it's not as empty as it was in MNDL or DLH. And as shown in the last photo, even with the entire environment loaded, I was able to include two characters at once without needing to render in layers, reduce texture quality, or hide objects (like the grass, for example).
Finally, I'll leave you with some 'final' images of a few of the game's characters:
Let's start with the protagonists 'Linch and Lincy', who are accompanied by their father—the reason they end up living with Margarita.
Next, we have Margarita with her daughters. Since the triplets are already well-known, I won't include them (due to time constraints). So from right to left we have: Leticia, Luciana, Margarita, and Lorena.
To wrap up, we have a character you might find familiar: Diana. Like Margarita, she's accompanied by her daughters. So from right to left we have: Layla, Diana, Licia, and Lexa.
