I recently watched a documentary about a prison for unredeemable criminals in Siberia. Prisoners have to work and do all the chores to sustain themselves. Stoic prison guards supervise the inmates. i have heard some ppl say one of Russian elites biggest concern is the declining birth rate in Russia. Their economy is booming but they dont have enough ppl to man this booming economy, especially as the men are fighting the war. I wonder if Trump's calculus is that he can continue a low level warfare against Russia long term if Putin doesnt accede to some of his demands, with the hope that Russia will not have a good economy if the ppl arent there.
