Thanks Dmitry. Concerning nuclear terrorism, I don’t think there’s been an official acknowledgement from Moscow yet but there is a growing consensus that one of, if not the primary target of this raid was to capture Kursk AES.
I don’t understand the scorn… remember that these are the same people who thought they were going to drive to Crimea last summer, after announcing it to the world for months in advance. Their Strykers and Kozaks can do 60 km on pavement in 30 minutes, and they went to great lengths this time to keep the whole thing secret. They just might have gotten away with it if not for the heroic defense of the border crossing and the approaches to Sudzhe. In any case it had a higher chance of success than anything else they’ve tried the last year: Krinki, Kinburn Spit, etc etc.
Andrew Blanchard, Scorn?! Heh heh. Oh, dear, lucky the Russian Army isn't as sensitive as their observers in the "west", eh? Otherwise zelenski-pants and his merry band of losers would've been moving in on Vladivostok by now, 😱. As for the Strykers, cough, may I suggest you look up "ISR" (and the space based versions) after you google "maps"? Hint: It doesn’t end up well for your hypothetical strykers trying to blend in with the Russian farmers speeding their way on the concrete roads to the mart.
Добрый день, один из моих друзей с нарушениями слуха и заядлый читатель ваших статей не может наслаждаться этими подкастами. Планируете ли вы добавить субтитры в будущем?
Jean, нет, не собирался. Это для меня много лишней работы.
Thanks Dmitri for your enlightening monologue appropriately name Collapse,  referring, we surmise,  to the evil empire of the West. Of course,  those of us who live in the West witness it every day in our own individual way,  but it is worthwhile to obtain a wider and insightful view as you provide.
excellente idée ces podcasts, merci
Thank you for this new endeavor.  I have to confess I always just listen to you and Nima anyway.  Always thought provoking.
Hmm. Interesting idea. It begs the question - do you never find that maybe an interviewer can ask a question that brings up thoughts, analysis of yours that you might not have had in mind without that question?  Also, some people are total readers - I'm one, been reading since before I could walk.  Listening just to words it's hard to keep ones concentration focussed - but maybe that's me, someone who never goes anywhere without a book or two.  Agree however about totally verbal interviews with no word or picture illustration - I tend to go wash dishes while listening or such.  Or play patience.  Hope this doesnt mean you wont be posting ANY readable material in the future. That would bring a small tear or two :-)
I like when videos or audios offer you the option to choose the speed. I often speed them up. 😎 This time I did that to the download. heart
I"m a bit like  Pamela, an avid reader so anything in print is most welcome I set aside an hour and a half to read in the very early morning then try to carry on my life accordingly. I am a big fan of yours, Dmitry, You're one of my favorites along with the likes of Pepe Escobar and Ron Unz. You are all on the same page and give me reassurance that we are not facing armagedon but the collapse of the west, which we so deserve. Also listen to your interviews with Nimo which are pricelessly informative. the volume on this monologue was very low and i could hardly make it out, both with my hearing aids or headphones. Hopefully that will be corrected!
Kostya
Kostya, Pretty much my routine, although if there are interviews with someone I like, or a topic that appeals, I'll listen to them. I did some reading of recent research on learning when I started a job lecturing at Uni. We tend to fall either mainly into the seeing and reading, or listening groups. I mixed by putting points, important details on to an overhead, often with a graph or pic if appropriate, but was also speaking, so both were there. Most of us do use both, with a preference. I can remember written words cos I take a mental picture and can go back and "read", but cannot do that from just hearing. We are all a bit different though. My son has a long drive to and from work, and is addicted to podcasts!!!!
I like audio of your writing and you speaking. That said, the audio here was not as good quality as I would prefer; in particular, the volume was low.
Thank you for introducing the clear, informative and witty monologue series! You delivered more valuable info in ~12 minutes than most podcasters do in >60 minutes.
This is a great addition to the essays, that I hope you will also keep writing as you find time.
Btw., the sound was good, heard every word clearly on a cheap phone, and my hearing is rather poor (I call it "selective" ... my family thinks I'm deaf)
Regarding the "monotony" - I prefer to hear intelligent thoughts in a monotonous voice rather than snotty BS in aggressive or flamboyantly colorful tone.
Keep up the good work!
Dmitri,
I think switching to "podcasts" is an interesting alternative.  But I must admit that I like to see you also.  Anyway, I'll  continue following you.
NB: The quality of sound was OK with me.
Off topic but related to Mr Orlov's recent interview with Nima
Re Serbia: This is a country deeply occupied by NATO, with a NATO puppet president who pays lip service to friendship with RU and PRC, because that's how he stays in power despite all the treason he has perpetrated against his own people.
As a traitor to his own, he is also a traitor to his friends, he e.g. sells artillery ammo to the Ukros, enacts sanctions against Belorussia
His ragdoll status was on full display on July 19, Sholz humiliated him at the Belgrade airport. He has reduced the country to a sort of Colombia in the Balkans, an indebted cesspool of corruption and treason
The constitution has for all intents and purposes been suspended, since we do not really have a judiciary or rather we have a NATO judiciary.
Lets not even mention media, elections.
Since most everything has been sold, Kosovo included, they are now turning us into a mining colony. Thats what the mass protest was, we are fighting for our bare lives.
Always a good time DO👍
If I might be so bold as to add, again re Serbia and the current situation here: The Serbian people, 70-80 percent of which are patriots and consider Russia a friendly if not downright brotherly nation, are absolutely aghast at official Moscow's stance regarding what is going on here.
https://www.mid.ru/ru/foreign_policy/news/1965062/
This is not the first time we have been aghast at Moscow's support for the NATO puppets in power, but this one really takes the cake.
Dmitry Orlov,
I am quite aware that among the general population in Russia Serbia is barely ever on the radar.
I am also somewhat aware that Russia has its own hot messes to deal with.
The man is a poet, but I think you are missing the point, this is not a question of scale.
Dmitry Orlov, What I and Mr Матич there are essentially trying to convey to the Russian elite, if anyone is listening, is that this is not just about Serbia, it's about you guys knowing what the hell you are doing and where you are going. Doesn't look too good, let me tell you.
I love Putins attention to detail and his determination to be in service to the Russian people. Thanks for your translation and take of the Kursk sitrep Dmitry.
Dear Dmitry
Unlike some fussy commentators here, I am simply grateful for another medium through which I can absorb your thoughts and opinions.
I absolutely devour everything you produce, so this new style is very welcomed.
Biggest fan
Oxana (Oz) 🥰
Thank you for taking the time to put this…. I thoroughly enjoy your written articles and find them very informative and always very helpful and interesting. I look forward to hearing you put your thoughts on a podcast…. As always I really appreciate your insights and opinion, these have been very helpful in understanding more effectively the quagmire of information that we are being given. Thank You 🙏
We are aware that Russia has a number of weapons that have not been used in the SMO, so I do wonder if there may be a plan to use them in Kursk once the evacuation is completed…. Weapons that are extremely powerful and might if used in the SMO area give the optics to the West and nato to justify more escalatory measures in response however if used on Russian territory could not… whilst at the same time showing the West what Russia is willing to do and is capable of doing if they persist on their path of aggression….
Pete M, as far as I know, those are not the orders. The Ukrainian army's order of battle is at this point destroyed. The mop-up operation will take time, of course. Once that's over, the Russian troops massed in Kursk region will probably take control of some part of Sumy region as well (because why not). As far as "showing the West" — what West? Does it still exist?
Dmitry Orlov, I wish I saw this earlier. I've never witnesses the U.S. backing down like an adult, not a child, albeit stupid. It would be life changing. Thank you for your incite as an actual first person witness to the progression of battle. We all need to learn the chess moves in global affairs.
Thank you for making it easier to gain insight into the geopolitical reality of the true (idiotic) machinations of the West in the Ukraine and beyond. For those of us still scratching for survival in the belly of the beast—where the propaganda has reached such warped, absurd proportions—the work you're doing is akin to being provided an icy, tall glass of water in hell. As always, warmest regards to you and your family, Dmitry!
Yes Dmitry, I agree with the foregoing praise for your efforts to give us clear information about Russia and its justice-defending leadership. Thank god for the existence and continued sustenance of such principled people, men and women. Your writing and podcasts cast the world in a positively good and clear light for me every time I experience them - except that I wasn't clear about the three-letter word w__ immediately! I am thrilled to subscribe.
