Another great article, Dmitry. How is the birth rate situation in RF? Anything being done to incentivize people to making more children?
Eduard Florinescu
Seyran, A lot of smart Russians abroad, I don't know many Russians, but one Russian I know that works in IT just turned back to Russia just to find it that he likes it. Once systems begin to fail for them they will be back into Russia. A lot of other Russians are just the YouTube type and they travel a lot and they are discovering there is a lifetime of travel inside of Russia, examples abound. Also a lot of highly skilled people in the West pack their bags for Russia. I see a lot of farmers on youtube, Russia needs a lot of farmers. Once the babies start to appear and they become adults Russia will be unstoppable! I for one was having thoughts about that, but cannot due to familial conjuncture. So I will have to live and die hopefully of old age with stupid right here. Romania is on the wrecked countries list but I still Iike it, and I love its mountains where I live, which I think will make it since it has a history of a thousand of years, an has been through a lot.
Eduard Florinescu, Romania has joined Schengen. That might change things for the better. It will be easier to leave Romania.

Where can I learn more about Russia solving the nuclear waste problem? This hasn't really been covered by western media, I can't imagine why.
Dmitry OrlovReplying to EEV
EEV, don't worry, nuclear waste is forever. A time will come when the Russians will charge good money to take it away and then charge good money again for it after reprocessing it back into fuel.
Dmitry Orlov, 😂 Of course! I wonder if we'll be paying in greenbacks or some kind of barter system.

"Once the lights go out, they will no longer know how to boil water." Or will run out of books and furniture to burn.
James R Smith
RedShift, Dmitry Orlov, It's getting more difficult every year to even find bookstores in the USA. And libraries keep reducing the number of books they stock. And it's not as if burning books is unknown in the US or Europe. The furniture will last a little bit longer than the books.

No "solar generator" system has been shown to return more energy than required to fully manufacture it. Same with wind. Otherwise, a solar plant would run one hundred percent on solar produced power.

"Liberal democracy " is just the continuation of western European imperialism (the US power is genealogically western european). XXI will see the end of 500 years of European colonialism.

Was Jesus born in the Year Zero?
How else would you get to a quarter century after 24 years.

Steven Trigg
Excellent summary, the banquet of consequences is being served to the combined west. The west's reliance on services accelerated as financialisation hollowed out industry, all the while there was a process of population replacement; these were economic migrants and as prospects fade I'm wondering if these same people won't up and leave returning to their former homelands...Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Africa, etc.
Dmitry Orlov
Steven Trigg, people who have no intention of working aren't exactly economic. Once Europe is broke and can't pay them, they'll probably move on to the US. I am sure the Ukrainians will do so, especially since there won't be a Ukraine for them to go back to.

Excellent, Dmitry! Not sure the us won’t be back on track, thanks to the new populist-tech alliance that put Trump in power (everything works in cycles, and a us rebound is possible), but your other predictions are unfortunately very probable, especially for the poor Europe. I really liked your Ia prediction :-) Thanks for all your insights and have a great year :-)
