Do not try to pay in rubles!

Lots of people, when adding a card, seem to be making the same mistake. They click on "global card" (should be "non-Russian card") but don't change the currency selection from "Rubles (RUB)" to "Dollars (USD)". That doesn't work.

Any VISA or MasterCard that supports 3D Secure protocol (most do) and doesn't block international internet transactions will work. It can be a credit card, a debit card (linked to an account) or a prepaid card (a reasonable choice).

Also, don't trust your browser to autofill your card details. Something goes wrong there. Type it in manually.

I'm not sure if mine went through, how do I find out? Have tried w dollars, still card troubles. Today seemed to go through, but I see recorded as "subscription 0 rubles". What url to pay at?

Thanks, understand your frustration, that is not the "answer", I'm trying to *fix* it. I've been a subscriber for a long time, but have had to get new card numbers because of various frauds, just trying to get the new card in the system. Have been "Spare Change" (I'm 78, I live on SS minimum). The various choices have been different every time I've tried, and I don't know which set I am at. Some times the $ choice has been clear; this time it wasn't. Have had trouble my card provider. I have to know clearly where I go to change the card; and clear up any mistakes.

Christian Sweningsen, you are already logged in to Boosty. Click on your name in the upper right corner. Select "Account settings". There, select "add additional card". Add the card. DO NOT select to pay in Rubles! Then go to the main blog page (boosty.to/cluborlov) and click "subscribe" under one of the subscription levels in the right column.

I was also having trouble getting Boosty to accept a number of my credit cards. I finally tried my Amazon Prime Chase Visa card, which was at first declined. They (Chase) sent me a message asking if it was a legitimate charge, which I verified. When I tried again, it did go through.

I hope this might help others. I have been suffering "Orlov Withdrawal" but now am back as a subscriber. beaming_face
