How do I do 'em
Ever been curious about how the production process goes? Well, here’s just the first 20%. There’s still a lot of work with normals, subdivisions, separations, and additional meshes. After that comes the scrupulous search for central points. Then, I start the long process of writing all the code to make the rudder rotate, the doors open, and the player sit inside. And here we go—a fully working frame, ready to join the game.
But it’s not that simple. The car still needs collisions, and… nothing happens when it’s in the world. Because, as usual, I might have forgotten a comma or a bracket. Everything gets fixed, but the vehicle still lacks the engine (and signature wheels, yes I remember that promised them for all current and new vehicles...), and the whole process begins again for each part. Notice no baking mentioned - as in most cases it spoils the way model looks.
Nevertheless, I’m grateful to the whole community developing MTS—only through the pack making have I been able to grasp the basics of Blender. Yet, it’s funny to see how I learn more and more with each new model.
One day I would even like to create a video series on how to make IV packs from scratch (provided smb else don't succeed at it first). The necessity of starting a YT channel is becoming more and more apparent///
