What's new? Board game.

It seems like there hasn't been any news here for a long time. But today I want to tell you about an interesting project.

The board game "Tundra" from the publishing house "Hobby World" is inspired by the works of Ivan Bilibin, the beauty of northern nature and fairy tales.

I participated in this project as an environment artist, drawing the board game board and terrain tiles.

The board presents us with a small fairy-tale world, filled with details, which the heroes explore.

The terrain tiles are small atmospheric landscapes of the tundra - 24 varieties.

I'm currently working on an illustration of a tarot deck! This is the first part of the cards.

In my book you will find 13 detailed step-by-step embroidery patterns. 

The book also contains tales of the Amber Forest. Watercolor illustrations and photos of embroidery decorate the book!

Meet the autumn pumpkin guy! Here I have indicated the colors used on the pattern. I used DMS threads, if I use ANCHOR threads, I also mark this on the pattern.

It was quiet here for a long time, so I want to share the news!  The book layout is finished!  Now it's going to print! 

Sometimes subscribers contact me with questions about embroidery. And one of the questions was: how to create patterns for embroidery yourself? I tried to write it in this article.  I hope this will be useful! 

Well, let's start. To create your scheme, you need to determine what you would like to embroider? To do this, you can choose a photo or a drawing. Let's look at this using the example of a photo of my flower. First, you need to draw its main  shape. If you can draw, draw a flower. If you don't know how to draw, reduce the photo to the size you need, put the sheet of paper on the monitor and trace the main shape of the flower petals. If you draw by yourself, the photo can just be an example of the color, you can draw the shape yourself.

I like to draw not only with threads, but also with ink or watercolor. There will be a small album with my works. The album will be gradually updated. These are original paintings, not print.
