Early prototypes and sketches of the ACPH cover artwork + Legouchi
When the question arose as to what the cover would be, there was only the realization that there should be an obi ribbon on the side.
Then I came up with the idea of combining the words CITY POP and HITS to create an homage to Tatsuro Yamashita's “Ride On Time” album cover:
The wooden vinyl rack was created just a week before the set was recorded, and it was only with its arrival that it became clear that it was possible to envision iconic genre album covers in a video cover.
Then I tried to figure out how to combine the rack, albums, letters and Mariya Takeuchi's lego portrait in the cover.
Legouchi, by the way, was ready back in OCTOBER 2023! I had already bought a Mozabrick constructor and had the idea to build a portrait for the set based on it. Since then, it has been standing in my house and motivated me to finish the idea.
By the way, here are the instructions for assembling the portrait, in case it helps you in any way:

I ended up recreating the final arrangement of the albums on the rack just before I started shooting.
You all know the final result. :)
