Знакомьтесь! Это почти полная карта Зоны из Аномали, выгруженная в блендер упрощёнными макетами и поделённая по цветам для удобства. Первый скрин от Кордона до ЧАЭС, второй наоборот соответственно. Выгрузил я это всё не для того, чтобы объединить локации и создать бесшовную зону, хотя руки очень чешутся! Делаю мини-аддончик для подписчиков. Суть в том, чтобы за границей уровня, на котором вы находитесь, рисовался бы плоский ЛОД с панорамным снимком всей Зоны. В теории, это должно усилить ощущение от мира, дать чувство масштабности и единой Зоны. Что получится на практике - посмотрим. Для каждой локации свои снимки, чтобы окружение ЛОДа соответствовало вашему положению на карте. А надоумил меня один из подписчиков - Xersvory. Ему спасибо за идею!
Для своей будущей сборки я планирую частично объединять локации, таким образом делая мир масштабнее. Целиком объединить Зону - не вариант. Во первых X-Ray не потянет и ваши компы не потянут, а во вторых мне всё ещё нравится концепция переходов. Они дают ощущения, что вы прошли какое-то расстояние, а без них вы можете пробежать Зону от Кордона до ЧАЭС минут за 10 не почувствовав даже. Так что локации буду делать больше за счёт объединения, таким образом уменьшая их количество, но всё ещё деля мир на регионы. Ну и стыки локаций наполню точками притяжения. Стыки всё ещё будут довольно узкими проходами, которые можно будет отсекать аномальными полями. Можно будет организовывать там бандитские засады и много чего ещё.
Но это я уже о не самой ближайшей перспективе. Пока продолжаем работу над ближайшими планами.

Meet this! This is almost the complete map of the Zone from Anomaly, exported to Blender as simplified layouts and divided by color for convenience. The first screenshot is from the Escape to the CNPP, the second is the reverse. I didn't export all this to merge the locations and create a seamless Zone, though my hands are really itching to! I'm making a mini-addon for subscribers. The idea is that beyond the border of the level you're currently on, a flat LOD with a panoramic snapshot of the entire Zone would be rendered. In theory, this should enhance the feeling of the world, give a sense of scale and a unified Zone. We'll see how it works in practice. Each location gets its own snapshots so the LOD environment matches your position on the map. One of my subscribers, Xersvory, gave me the idea. Thanks to him for the idea!

For my future modpack, I'm planning to partially merge locations, making the world more expansive. Merging the entire Zone isn't an option. First, X-Ray won't handle it and your PCs won't either, and second, I still like the concept of transitions. They give the feeling that you've traveled some distance, and without them you could run the Zone from the Escape to the CNPP in about 10 minutes without even feeling it. So I'll make locations bigger through merging, thus reducing their number, but still dividing the world into regions. And I'll fill the junctions between locations with points of interest. The junctions will still be fairly narrow passages that can be cut off by anomaly fields. You could set up bandit ambushes there and much more.

But that's already about the not-so-near future. For now, we continue working on the immediate plans.
