Efficiency
A 20th-century Sufi once said:
"People come to me all the time, burning with the desire to save the whole world, or at least to correct something in it, but before taking on such a task, it would be good to know how to become a truly effective person. Heroism cannot replace effectiveness.
Unfortunately, due to the imbalance in modern culture, no one dares to say this directly, as people crave approval, not information.By absorbing information, they can acquire the skill and subsequently become effective."
In other words, a person who wants to change themselves and their environment must be effective. The expression "to be effective" can be understood as "possessing a sufficient level of Personal Power."
In magic and mystical philosophy, a reserve of Personal Power is a key factor in enabling a person to interact with the subtle impulses of their Higher Self. These impulses cannot be recognized by a depleted and tired person.
Desires and impulses play a key role in a person's life and in the process of accumulating their Personal Power. After all, if a desire depletes a person, then the supply of Personal Power spent on thinking about that desire or pursuing it is wasted in terms of effectiveness. This means that a person must understand the nature of their desires and impulses in order to retain only those that reveal their inner magical potential and enable them to become effective.
