What are the most important instruments on a Spiritual Path?
Those considering joining an occult organization should carefully consider the strengths and weaknesses of the movement. It would be the height of folly to impulsively join any organization without first thoroughly studying and analyzing everything pertaining to its activities.
Of course, organizations with eccentric names, intriguing claims, and unrealistic pretensions should be completely excluded from consideration. Any group claiming to be the sole possessor of the most ancient and profound secrets should be avoided at all costs. Only simple, scientifically minded groups of intelligent men and women who do not feign hard work, but work and live, demonstrating a high level of personal and collective integrity, and who have no quirks or idols or a carefully developed political structure, are worthy of attention. There is no doubt that such groups exist, but they rarely advertise themselves. Operating quietly, they become known by their actions, not their words.
One quick note for those who enjoy joining all sorts of organizations: weigh everything carefully and stick to what's simple, good, reasonable, and honest.

When it comes to buying a new phone or a new pair of nice boots, we're accustomed to approaching the process with the utmost care, caution, and exactingness. As soon as we notice the slightest flaw in the purchased item, we immediately refuse to use it.
But why, when it comes to our spiritual and mystical pursuits, do we lose our vigilance, sobriety, and common sense? We're ready to accept promises that don't stand up to scrutiny, trusting "gurus" and "teachers" whose goal is to play on our egos and manipulate our pain. And then we find ourselves exhausted, robbed, and abandoned. Failing to understand that we ourselves are the cause of our failure, we give up on any spiritual endeavors and immerse ourselves in materialism. Thus, we lose faith in ourselves, in humanity, in Truth and Goodness.
It's time to accept responsibility for our own lives and approach them with clarity, sobriety, and common sense. This approach should apply to everything from buying shoes and a handbag in a store to finding the Path to Spiritual Realization.
Responsibility, sobriety, and common sense are the tools we use to move toward a full, harmonious, and happy life.
