I've heard reports that 500,000 Russian reservists are being called up now. I've heard reports that 500,000 reservists will be called up in the near future after Russia's elections. What are the facts concerning call ups?

Related questions. Are the 300,000 reservists who were called up at the beginning of the SMO stop lossed for the duration? The same question concerning contract soldiers. Four plus years is a long time to keep reservists on active duty or contract soldiers whose enlistments expired three or four years ago.

I again see reports in legacy western media that the Russian military is having a lot of trouble finding recruits. By default I believe the opposite of what gets reported about Russia in the west. Am I right in assuming Russia's armed forces are still having no trouble finding volunteers?

Could you also talk about the Ukrainian numbers? I have seen about 35 000 taken out a month, and press gang recruitment getting just under 20 000 to replenish.
