Ghostslayers - New Hub, UI, Abilities, Inventory and etc

Showcase of a couple new stuffs we've been working on!
First of all, a whole hub zone with interactive objects and with every new object we also prepared new UI, for settings, player setup, spells and abilities book and etc etc.
Second of all new abilities, previously we only grapple hook for movement, but now yall can select between grapple, dash, wind burst and time saver. As well as select the character, color and spell combos you will start with.
Third of all is the new inventory system (still wip and will get a bit more work on obviously) that you can view your items at now and later we'll also show the spells that you have overall.
We're hard at work on the new final location before we release the demo and hopefully we'll be able to showcase it soon at around may month or so.

Progress Report #2 - New UI, Concept Arts and (upcoming) Devlog video

Hello everyone!
Thanks to you all who are still following the development of the game, we appreciate everyone's support and we are still hard at work on the game.
We apologize that we haven't posted that many news in-between development time as this is a student project that we have to document a lot about which drains out the strength to make or write promo material for it, but we promise that we are still working on the game, despite not posting about it.
We have announced before that we are making a development log video showcasing all the new stuff between the last full post in March and nowadays that we have prepared, the text for that was ready for a while, but again as mentioned before we had no time to prepare video content itself, as well as still adding content to the game, text needs to catch up with the new additions. The video should finally release though at around January - February, I will focus on adding all the new stuff we worked on to the text and prepare the video material. Thank you a lot for your patience to those who are waiting for it and I apologize again for making you wait for it, I promise it will be worth the wait ^^
But for now we are happy to showcase some of the new concept arts and UI that we have been working on for the game.

Progress Report #1 - What's next? (Desert Boss Rework + Hub)

Now that we finished with our game jam game, we are moving back to continue working on Ghostslayers.
The next thing on the line that we are trying to get working is the hub area where players can set everything up to their needs and explore around to find secrets and small minigames. As well as updating the Desert Boss to actually fit in with the theme.

Hopefully some will get the reference, but yeah that's what we have planned for it so to say.
Here's some extra map stuff that we haven't all used up just yet, but only yet.

Map, New Enemies, Shop, New Spells and More!

We're finally working on adding the fuller version of roguelike mode that we want our game to be focused on. On the left up corner you can see the small generation we did of the map. Boss, Tasks, Shop, you can see a buncha stuff on there. In the main screen you can also see our new enemy, The Rolling Head or uhh Skelly, idk we haven't really given them a proper name yet
