May Devlog: EP3 v0.9.9 & Cam Wars
Hey everyone! It’s been almost a month since I released EP3 v0.9.8, so I wanted to share what I’ve been up to.
First, v0.9.9 is coming soon. Once the release date is finalized, I’ll post a full changelog. This update focuses on completing all content for Debbie and Daniella.
Next, let’s talk about Cam Wars, my new game. You can consider it a sequel to Agency and a fresh start for newcomers. It’s designed to give longtime fans meaningful callbacks while providing a clean, engaging experience for new players.
Cam Wars is a story-driven, open-world adventure game, packed with new systems and plenty of freedom. My main goals are immersion and fun.
On the main screen, I’ve implemented a parallax viewport: a static background comes alive with Live2D animation—breathing characters, blinking eyes, drifting clouds, and shifting sunlight. There’s even an interactive camera system just like the "Artistic Purposes" app in the Agency EP3.
The map uses an interactive parallax viewport that you can drag left and right. There’s a full weather system, too. Animated quest icons let you track characters, main quests, events, and side quests at a glance. Right now, you’ll see Valentina’s marker over the Home icon and a placeholder indicating a quest.
It divides the day into six segments—morning, noon, afternoon, evening, night, and midnight—and the world reacts in real time.
The core UI displays the current time segment front and center. On the left are settings, your location, day count, and cash. On the right are your phone, inventory, and map. Tap the middle (Sun/Moon) icons to fast-forward time.
In the inventory, you’ll find purchased items, quest gear, and consumables.
There’s an energy system, but it only appears when needed, so I left it out of the main UI.
The in-game phone is fully interactive and realistic. Every app you see works, each serving a unique purpose, and there’s a notification system so you know when something new happens.
You can drag your phone screen anywhere or flip it as you want. I could list every app here, but I’ll keep some surprises for you.
You can pull out the phone camera anytime to snap photos, and then share them on our built-in Instagram as Stories or posts.
Speaking of Instagram, I’ve recreated it down to the last pixel.
Customize your profile, make posts, follow people, and leave comments—and those comments affect your relationships with characters.
All chat notifications are funneled into a single Messages app, so you don’t have to jump between apps to keep up with conversations.
Pusscards are collectible cards you discover around the world. Each grants a permanent stat boost—think “Strength +1”—and features exclusive adult-style art of existing characters.
My goal is to create an easy-to-use, wildly entertaining game with tons of variety.
I’ve put a lot of effort into making it user-friendly, and I can’t wait to get Cam Wars version 0.1 into your hands!
I hope you’ve enjoyed the updates! See you soon with the v0.9.9 release!
