The Bing AI translation service has been added for Advanced and Pro premium subscribers. Powered by advanced LLMs, it produces highly natural translations and allows you to select a specific tone: Standard, Casual, or Formal. Bing AI could potentially provide the highest quality translation among all currently available services!

The standard Bing translation service has been successfully restored following recent API changes. You can safely switch back to using it in your settings once your browser installs this latest extension update.

After a year of hard work, I am incredibly excited to officially announce the recent release of Version 1.0 of Speech Translator! Your browser should have already updated to this new version by now.

To make the extension faster, more reliable, and much easier to set up, I completely rewrote the core code. I also added the highly requested features from the community.

🎙️ New Capture Options (Easier Setup!): No more complicated audio setup! You can now directly capture system-wide Desktop Audio, a specific browser tab, or your Microphone/VoiceMeeter in just a click.

💬 Dual Translation (Highly Requested!): You can now translate your speech into two different languages simultaneously and display them side-by-side. Perfect for multilingual streamers!

📺 Compact View Mode: A clean, subtitle-style display with dynamic timing, heavily optimized for livestream overlays in OBS.

🔊 Translation Read Aloud (TTS): The extension can now read translations out loud, automatically lowering the original audio volume so you can hear clearly.

Hi everyone! Before anything else, I want to say a thank you for your support. Little by little, over the past two years, we’ve gathered enough to build and release the update many of you have been asking for!

🔊 Effortless audio playback capture, regardless of your operating system. You’ll be able to translate speech directly from the current tab or desktop audio (what you hear through your speakers or headphones) without any additional setup.

I am excited to present the latest update. This update features new appearance options that make the extension usage more convenient and flexible.

Now you can achieve even more minimalistic view by hiding the translation dividers, enabling the text outline style and the text centering on the Appearance tab. It makes possible to fully simulate the movie subtitle look.

While configuring the appearance, try to click the button on the top right corner of the preview window to detach it and see the changes in real-time while scrolling.

Many of the new features are especially useful for livestreamers. The streaming setup instruction has been significantly updated and it has an example of ways to position the widget: vertical (the top image) and horizontal (the bottom image).

The Streaming Mode now has a new feature: Auto Hide on inactivity. It hides the widget if no text has been recognized during the specified inactivity time. It is especially useful for livestreamers who do not speak all the time, like instrumental music streamers, for example. If you are already using the Streaming Mode, then you need to copy the updated Widget URL to OBS in order to use this feature.
