The time trial is a classic of cross-country skiing. For many years, an uncompromising struggle with oneself and time was the only way to determine the strongest. At the turn of the century, radical changes occurred, at that moment the sport has lost its harmony and has not yet found a new one. The search continues for a formula that will harmoniously combine classics and innovations of the 21st century. The reforms of 2022-2023 are not the end.

Despite the long history of the discipline, television has never found the key to its high-quality presentation. It's time to put an end to this.

Work has been ongoing for more than a year to solve the problems of televising time trials. Full or partial implementation of its results means a revolution in cross-country skiing broadcasts. Now it is only a matter of time. For which I congratulate all fans of this discipline.
