In March 2016, the band announced their main Strike the Match Tour, with special guests The White Noise, My Enemies and I, and Bad Seed Rising[9] throughout the summer. The band also released a 30-second instrumental music video on social media. networks from their upcoming album. On June 20, the band revealed the title of their new album, Lifelines, and on July 21 announced that it would be available on October 20. The first single from the album, "Scars", was released on July 1.

On July 19, I Prevail announced via social media. network that they will support Pierce the Veil along with Neck Deep on the Journey's Made to Destroy Tour in the fall of 2016.

On August 14, the band released the second single from the album, "Stuck in Your Head".

On September 28, the group released their third single "Come and Get It" through Short.Fast.Loud, an Australian-based punk and hardcore radio show on teen radio station Triple J.

In December 2016, Tony left the band to focus on producing music.

On March 22, 2017, I Prevail confirmed their participation in the Vans Warped Tour 2017.

In late March/early April 2017, the band did their first international tour which included shows across Australia.

Lee did not tour again with the group for a month, leading to speculation that he was no longer a member of the group. I Prevail later updated their Facebook page to say that Lee was no longer a member of the group. The band soon adopted Gabe Helger as their touring drummer.

On August 8, 2017, I Prevail announced a major autumn/winter tour with The Word Alive, We Came As Romans, and Escape The Fate. Brian (clean vocals) took a break from this tour due to a serious vocal cord injury, and was temporarily replaced by Dylan.
