Мне хотелось нарисовать одного из главных персонажей своей ос-истории - Лилию. Она ангел-хранитель Северной страны, поэтому в работе хотелось показать некую божественность и святость, а также элементы льда и снега. Для этого я выбрала холодную цветовую гамму из голубых и нежно-фиолетовых цветов.

Голубой и синий передает ее ледяную стихию, сиреневый - некую принадлежность к Императрице (Лилия живет во дворце). А светло-желтый на ее нимбе - божественность и святость.

I wanted to draw one of the main characters from my OC's lore—Lily.
She is the guardian angel of the Northern Country, so my goal was to
convey a sense of divinity and sanctity, alongside elements of ice and
snow. To achieve this, I chose a cool color palette of blues and soft
purples.

Blue represents her icy element. Lilac/purple signifies her connection to the Empress (Lily resides in the palace). The pale yellow of her halo symbolizes divinity and holiness.

Я не случайно добавила рамку, т.к она делает арт интереснее и также передает образы чего-то чистого: льда, стекла, зеркала, кристалла.

Second ver.

I added the frame intentionally. It makes the composition more engaging
and reinforces imagery of purity: ice, glass, mirror, crystal.

Первые скетч. У меня сразу были рефы поз и палитры, поэтому он не занял много времени. Обычно после скетча я делаю лайн, но тут начала красить поверх него, тк боялась, что в лайне потеряется некая легкость и небрежность. 

I already had references for the pose and palette ready, so this stage didn't take long. Normally, I'd do a clean line art pass after the sketch, but here I started painting directly over it. I was afraid that line art might lose the initial sketch's sense of lightness and spontaneity.

Здесь немного изменила поворот головы и добавила теней, а также больше цветов на фоне. Я специально не прорисовывала всё, что ниже рук, т.к. 1. Хотелось подчеркнуть ее воздушность и святость. 2. Перенести фокус на лицо и цветы и 3. Я банально до сих пор не придумала ей одежду)))  

At this point, I slightly adjusted the angle of the head, added more shadows, and introduced more color variation to the background. I deliberately left everything below the hands unpainted because: 1. I wanted to emphasize her ethereal, holy quality. 2. To keep the focus on her face and the flowers. 3. I still haven't designed her outfit! 😅

Добработка цветов и рук. Где-то здесь я поняла, что лайн был бы не лишним, но исправлять поверх готовых кусков тоже интересно. Дальше я активно пользовалась рефами, добавляя стебли и детали.

Here, I refined the colors and worked on the hands. Around this stage, I realized that some line art wouldn't hurt, but correcting and painting over existing blocks of color is its own interesting challenge. I then actively used references to add stems and finer details.
