“Can you drive any slower?” I scowled at the taxi driver, staring at his haughty face through the rear-view mirror. 

He said nothing and, like a deaf and mute, continued driving as if we were in the mountains, admiring the landscape. It made me angrier and more agitated. I would have stepped out of that taxi if my destination and the time was not what it was.

It was eleven pm. At that time, there was no way I could have found another taxi, and I needed to reach his dormitory. As soon as I could. He had called me, saying, “I have a surprise for you.”
