Cat tree!
I am making a cat play complex with... an entire room. And perhaps the cat tree will become a chip in it. You can buy similar trees from private traders, but I decided to do everything myself for a minimum of money
First of all, I went to the forest and found a suitable wood element (pic 1), sanding with a knife, grinder (Pic 2) (I use different grit sandpaper. Here, in the classic way, the rough finish is a large grain, the final for the smoothness of a tree is a fine grain). In this post, the result of grinding is not final, I just ran out of consumables.
In order for the tree to stand, you need to come up with a foundation. I had an idea to put together a box and fill it with cement with a trunk, but I decided to go easier - to screw it to a heavy saw cut of a tree with self-tapping screws. (Pics 3,4), and cut down the crooked leg of the tree with a jigsaw (Pic 5). For a stronger fixation, I poured glue-foam between the trunk and the saw cut (pic 6) Now the tree stands on a weighty stand (pic 7).
After drying, the foam must be cut and masked with a jute rope. Rope is also an important element for cats, scratching posts are made from this material and wood will include this function. I cut the branches on which the shelves will be attached at an angle for good docking (Pics 9,10)
