About

Hi, I'm Pelmentor, I make and run all sorts of projects.

One of my biggest projects today is MULTIVOID. It's free and always will be.
Multivoid
is multiplayer for Voices of the Void: a mod that adds drop-in co-op to a single-player game without modifying a single one of the game's own files.
I'd be extremely happy and grateful if this project paid back even a bit of what I spend to keep it running.
One person builds this. One person pays for it: the tools plus the VPS the master server lives on. Out of my own pocket, every month, since day one.
Multivoid is free and always will be free.
But if you feel like throwing something in from the heart, I won't say no.
The project grew out of love for Voices of the Void. I love this game enough that I wanted to play it with someone. It has no multiplayer and never planned any, so it had to be built from the outside: an entire layer of my own on top of the engine, with its own networking.

I started on May 21, 2026. Three months later it's gone from an empty repository to playable co-op: up to four players, its own master server with a lobby list, a native in-game UI, one-click install through r2modman. The foundation is standing. There's more coming.

Multivoid's current goal

The goal is to make a co-op partner a full second worker on the base. The client already does a lot — the job now is to bring what works up to the benchmark and make it properly robust, and to build what's missing.
I didn't invent the bar; the game set it. A kerfur already does exactly the set of jobs that keeps a base alive: fix servers, collect reports onto a floppy, fix transformers, carry things, patrol. That's the list.
And then the part no robot does — the workstation. Catching a signal, tuning it, downloading, decoding, processing it. That's the actual game. Most of it already works in co-op; the job there is making it solid rather than merely working.
I want all of it done by a second player with their own hands, and the result landing properly in the shared world — no worse than the robot, and better.
This is the goal, not a shipped feature.

Signature

$1.86 per month
A signature is the byte pattern you hunt for to find the one function you need inside someone else's binary. A small trace that everything else starts from. Thanks for leaving yours.

Hook

$5 per month
A hook is where you attach to a system that is already running, and finally see what's going through it. This is where understanding starts.

Trampoline

$11.2 per month
A trampoline is the piece of code that lets the original keep running while yours runs alongside it. It keeps the system alive. Which is roughly what you're doing here: the server stays up.

Substrate

$24.8 per month
The substrate is the layer everything else stands on. There is nothing below it.
